The last blade 2 ps2 series#
So for me, I probably find SamSho II a bit more unique and important than Last Blade 1 and 2, but I MIGHT find both of those better than any other SamSho, just because the rest of the series always has something weird, missing, or that could have used more development. I think both of these things give it a wider appeal. It's style isn't as bold and striking as SamSho, but it's extremely competent and well made. It's systems give it the combo and "desire for speed" flows that many seem to think makes games "better". Last Blade shocks me in how much it feels like a game that'd be made now. It puts such an emphasis on button presses, the punishability of weapon strikes, and really finding and exploiting openings. It's loaded with systems and considerations that no other fighter takes anyway near as seriously. Often not in the Western releases.SamSho changes so much between games, that it's kind of a shock to me, even now. Boucing breasts: the female character wears clothes but her covered breasts bounce in the Japanese version. Fatalities: in most Samurai Shodown fighting games, a character can let out a huge spray of blood or be cut into pieces under certains conditions.Įxample: removal of blood spray/bisection in Samurai Shodown II in Samurai Shodown Anthology Blood: red blood in the Japanese version often turned green/white in the Western releases or was completely removed.Įxamples: The Last Blade 2 for Dreamcast/Wii Virtual Console, Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 2, The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited MatchĬlick to expand. Here are a few examples of censorship in those games (what I want to avoid): The King of Fighters '99: Millennium Battle Samurai Shodown RPG (French fan translation) Which versions/romhacks of said games should I be looking for in order to experience them uncensored and in English?Īrt of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior Which emulation method should I go with ? Is the Wii powerful enough to properly emulate the games listed hereafter? So could people knowledgeable about Neo Geo games answer the following, please? The Wii seems easily hackable so I wondered if I could use it to play these romhacks. I just want an English uncensored game (with playable bosses). However a few of them alter the games too much for my liking (color edits, gameplay changes. Then I learned there are several romhacks that are fully uncensored and feature the English translation. Or they weren't even released in the US/Europe! 2, The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match) or from poor emulation (i.e. Unfortunately most of these Western releases suffer from censorship (i.e. I still own a CRT, so I decided to look for PS2/Wii collections. They weren't meant to be displayed in such a way IMHO. However I don't like playing SD sprite-based games upscaled on a HD screen.

The last blade 2 ps2 Pc#
I know such versions of titles I'm interested in were re-released on PC and current consoles (The Last Blade 2, Samurai Shodown V Special. Fully uncensored (with blood, bouncing breasts, swearing and so on) and featuring English text (menus, post-battle quotes, endings). In a nutshell: I'd like to discover a few Neo Geo games.
